Painttool sai not allowing shortcuts mods#
Good luck and thanks for trying to spread the word about Krita!įinally, one of the things that makes Krita special is that it's open source, which means that anybody is free to go into the program's source code and make any mods or changes that they want. That's probably a bit beyond what you're looking to do, but it's just something cool about Krita that most other programs cannot say! =] This obviously requires a bit more work and some knowledge of C++ and Qt coding, but in effect it means that there are almost no limits to what you, I, or anybody else can do. Here I talk about tools, colors, shortcuts, selection, masks. If not, maybe you can share the one that you create!įinally, one of the things that makes Krita special is that it's open source, which means that anybody is free to go into the program's source code and make any mods or changes that they want. rôleSimulationSportStratégieQuizzUtilitaires jeuxJeux lettresNavigateursMenu principalAccueil NavigateursExtensions utilitairesNavigateurs webSécurité vie. This class is for everybody that wants to learn about Paint Tool SAI, especially begginers. I don't know for sure, but it's also possible that somebody online has already made a Krita workspace or shortcut set that's close to what you want. Then you can save both the workspace and the keyboard shortcut set and share them with your friend. You can also edit keyboard shortcuts to make things even more like what they're used to. You can remove dockers or add extra dockers from the Settings > Dockers menu. In our case, they would all be thumbnails representing different types of trees The massive audience behind Paint Tool SAI has fostered a loving community of artists With my 2011 iMac, this thing is simply so darn unstable thats impossible to use Youtube 13b Engine Enter world painter and scroll up to the tools menu and go inside of it and. You can do this by clicking on the title bar/name tag of any existing docker and dragging to a different edge of the screen. Is there such a feature/shortcut in that software? Because if there is, perhaps you could push for a shortcut preset to be included in Krita by deafult that mimicks Adobe Flash? Seeing as we already have one for Photoshop and PaintTool SAI, and Krita now supports animation, it should be possible to include some for popular animation softwares such as Adobe Flash/Animate and TVPaint. The easiest way is to get something close to what you want by rearranging all of the "dockers" (little windows) in a way that's similar to whatever program they're used to. You mentioned that you were coming from Adobe Flash.

If you're worried about overwriting shortcuts that you might use later on, maybe you could setup a specific "animation"-shortcut profile to use specifically when animating, and a different one for when doing other types of work in Krita? Get creative and set up your own personal shortcuts independent of software defaults I'm fairly confident that you can make different shortcut profiles in Krita.

Someone who comes to Krita from another software would probably be confused by the concept of double clicking on the keyboard. But once we introduce a "double click speed", that wait time is essential for the shortcuts to work.Īdditionally, I have never heard of a different software doing this, which makes it risky in terms of trying to have intuitive controls. It makes the software seem slow and buggy. 5 seconds for the software to switch tools or jump to the next frame after a single keypress. Most of us (me and people I've talked to) wants commands to be executed instantaneously and without delay we don't want to have to wait. Basically, how quickly you would have to press the key in order for it to register as a "double click" and execute the double click command instead of two regular commands. I believe the biggest issue occurs when you think about the "double click speed". I'm not a Krita developer, but I do believe I have an answer for you.
